So a kind of to do list is creeping up now:
- First and foremost I need to work on shadows. After searching in vain for some pre-made stuff I started implementing some ridiculous shadowy thingy. This needs to be transformed into a funky shadowy thingy.
- My marker event listeners need some dampening. At the moment I could use the app as a photon detector as tags are constantly wiggling, removed and added – I guess from light fluctuations. It must clearly separate actual movements from noise.
- I should implement a timer and do some 2d overlay.
- I need to spend a little more time with 3D collision detection in Processing.
- Some OpenGL Shader stuff would be fine.
Somewhere into this list goes “Get some sleep”.

This is my basic functionality up and running.

Einstürzende Neubauten
Moving objects on the table now works as expected. I procrastinated and wasted time doing some refactoring. I might be getting somewhere.

The real Tokyo

The fake Tokyo
Here you can see both – the real and the fake Tokyo. Hard to believe and almost undistinguishable! Now the “simulated” and the “simulacrum” have to be connected – somehow.
Where is Baudrillard when you need him?

At least in a technical sense. If you see a picture like this in your place it means that the tags are recognized and the data pipeline Trackmate > LucidOSC > Processing works. Presumed you have two markers on the table

Processing with LucidOSC picking up two tags
This is from the Procesing LucidOSC Bundle
